A question that we hear all the time is, “How do you make your popcorn?” One of the best parts about making popcorn is that there are so many different ways to make it! Whether you’re a popcorn aficionado or just like to snack on it from time to time, here are a few of our favorite ways to make popcorn!
Hot Air Popper
This type of popcorn popper is quick and simple! Most air poppers have a scoop on top that can be used for filling up with kernels to put in the popper to help you make the perfect sized bowl of popcorn! Simply plug in the popper, put a bowl under the mouth of the popper and let it work its magic! In just a few minutes you’ll have a delicious bowl of popcorn. Depending on your taste, the scoop on top can also be used to melt butter while your popcorn is popping.
Stove Top Popper
Another option is a stove top popper. First, add 1-2 tablespoons of the oil of your choice to the popper. Then add as much popcorn as you’re hungry for, usually around 1/3 cup makes a big bowl. Once you hear the first few kernels starting to pop, start cranking the handle slowly. After you hear only an occasional pop, remove your popper from the stove, pour the popcorn in a bowl and season your popcorn with salt and butter to taste. If you don’t have a stove top popper, the steps above can also be followed with a kettle with a lid.
Paper Bag Popcorn
If you’re looking for a super fast and easy way to make a delicious bowl of popcorn, Noble Owl has Paper Bag Popcorn in addition to our different types of kernel popcorn! Our paper bags come with two cobs for only $1.00, but you only need to pop one cob at a time to make a full bowl of popcorn. Once you have a cob in the bag fold the bag over twice, put it in the microwave for roughly two minutes (or until there are a few seconds in between pops), then pour the popcorn in a bowl and top with salt and butter to taste and enjoy!
So, what’s your favorite way to make popcorn? Whether you prefer popping from kernels or from the cob, Noble Owl has several popcorn varieties that you’ll love! Be sure to stop by the Oshkosh Saturday Farmers Market to pick up some of our delicious popcorn!
